The first step in the process is to prepare the area. Clear out any furniture or other items from the room, as these can be in the way when it comes time to start removing the vinyl flooring. Make sure to cover any vents or outlets with tape or plastic sheeting to prevent dust and debris from getting into them.

Step 2: Remove the Trim

Once the area is prepared, you can start to remove the trim. Use a pry bar and a putty knife to gently remove any trim pieces from the perimeter of the room. If you’re removing the trim from around doorways, be careful not to damage the door jambs.

Once you’ve removed the majority of the vinyl, you can use a vacuum to pick up any remaining pieces.
